HONEYMOON SUITE NEW ALBUM, ALIVE, OUT NOW!

Information Provided By Our Partner: RedSandPR

Canadian hard rock act Honeymoon Suite will release a new studio album entitled 'Alive' on 12th February 2024 via Frontiers, with its title song available as a single and video from today.

Expertly produced by Mike Krompass, whose songwriting and production credits include artists such as Steven Tyler, Theory Of A Dead Man, Smash Mouth and Meghan Trainor, ‘Alive’ shows off the band’s celebrated melodic chops, including powerful vocals and memorable guitar riffs, and sounds like a timeless record full of unforgettable rock anthems.

Honeymoon Suite was formed in 1981 in Niagara Falls (the unofficial honeymoon capital of the world) by lead vocalist and guitarist Johnnie Dee, who rebuilt the original line-up after being joined by guitarist Derry Grehan. The pair recruited Dave Betts (drums), Gary Lalonde (bass) and Ray Coburn (keyboards), writing songs and hitting the road hard in the hope of scoring a record deal.

Having entered one of their demos to a Toronto radio station contest, they won and signed to WEA, releasing a self-titled debut album in 1984 that achieved massive airplay and TV coverage and sold over 300,000 copies in Canada alone. They have gone on to release seven albums and sold over a million records driven by the success of singles such as ‘New Girl Now’, ‘Burning In Love’, ‘Wave Babies’, ‘Stay In the Light’, ‘Feel It Again’ and ‘What Does It Take’.

Numerous awards including a Canadian Juno for group of year in 1986, triple platinum sales in their home territory for each of their first three albums and platinum sales for 1989’s ‘The Singles’ were added to with a Canadian radio award in 2015 for 100,000+ plays of their songs.

Honeymoon Suite have toured extensively, including North America and Europe with ZZ Top, Heart, Billy Idol, Journey, Bryan Adams, Saga, Loverboy, Jethro Tull and .38 Special, while their songs can also be heard in TV shows such as Miami Vice and Bones, as well as in Lethal Weapon, One Crazy Summer and other films.

Following some line-up changes during the 1990s, the core group line-up reunited with the addition of keyboardist Peter Nunn and has remained intact to this day. They eventually connected with compatriot producer and songwriter Mike Krompass (based in Nashville), a long-time fan of the band who was all in to produce an eighth Honeymoon Suite album. The singles ‘Tell Me What You Want’ (2019) and ‘Find What You’re Looking For’ (2020) were enthusiastically received by fans, paving the way for the brand new ‘Alive’.
