Manchester alt-punk rock act Novacane independently released their second single, "Melt," on January 1, 2025, accompanied by a music video.
Hailing from Bury, Manchester, Novacane are an alternative punk rock band inspired by iconic acts such as Fugazi, Nirvana, and Sonic Youth. Formed in college just two years ago, the band quickly built momentum, starting with gigs in Bury and Bolton before expanding into central Manchester. Now, they’re broadening their reach with upcoming shows in Stockport alongside their hometown performances.
Novacane's latest track, "Melt," was written in autumn 2023 and recorded in early 2024 at Stockport's Pressure Drop Studios. It forms part of their forthcoming 4-song EP, That Numbing Feeling, set to release on Brassneck Records in early 2025. According to the band, "Melt" explores poignant themes of love, loss, and the evolving nature of relationships, showcasing their depth and artistry.
